Inextinguible

is a commissioned visual work created for three live performances of Carl Nielsen’s Symphony No. 4, “The Inextinguishable”, presented by Opéra Orchestre Normandie Rouen within The Millennium – Année des Normandsprogramme.

Developed in dialogue with the symphonic score, the work explores the idea of an irrepressible life force: a movement of resistance, transformation, and renewal that persists through rupture. Through moving images, landscapes, and visual atmospheres filmed in Normandy, the project extends the emotional and spatial dimension of the performance, creating a visual counterpoint to Nielsen’s music.

The work will be presented live across three performances in Rouen and Caen, France, in 2026.
